Insulation Options
Standard Insulation:
ROXUl Comfortbatt insulation with a R24 rating is standard in exterior walls. COMFORTBATT® is a stone wool insulation product for use in both new residential construction and renovations. This semi-rigid batt has a unique flexible edge designed to compress as the batt is inserted into walls, attics, ceilings and floor frames. The flexible edge springs back, expanding the batt against the frame studs to give a complete fill. ROXUL COMFORTBATT® compensates for normal variations in stud centres caused by distortion or warping. The special flexible characteristic at the insulation edge ensures the expected R-value is achieved.
National Fiber cellulose insulation with a R50 rating is standard in attics. National Fiber Cel-Pak Cellulose Insulation is made using over-issue newsprint (daily newspapers that went unpurchased), paper drive paper, and other high-quality recycled paper, all refined to cellulose fiber. Unlike other manufacturers, National Fiber, hand sorts our paper to remove glossy inserts like ads and coupons, twine, metal - anything that isn't good, clean, uncoated paper stock, making Cel-Pak the cleanest cellulose insulation you can buy. Along the way, a natural mineral borate (never ammonium sulfate) is added to the cellulose fiber, which provides our Class A fire rating and resistance to mold and pests.
There are a number of optional insulation choices we offer.
